My Story was Featured Again! Oh, and it’s -21 degrees out

I’ve been slowly getting myself into the habit of writing every morning during the week. As soon as my husband leaves for work, I bring my coffee and my music down to the office and I get to work baring my soul and sharing the things I have learned along the way as I adapt to living with PTSD.

Well today, that schedule has been thrown off because of the weather. It is SO cold here in Wisconsin, USA that schools and businesses are closing – which included my husband’s company. Good thing too, he works in a warehouse, which is one step above working outside.

So today is an impromptu snuggle in with the family day.

Expect for therapy this afternoon, which I refuse to cancel so I will have to venture out.

In other good news, I was featured on the Emerging Proud site where I shared my personal story for their site and for a book series they are working on regarding transformation through struggles with trauma and mental health.

I am honored, and extremely humbled. What an amazing thing to wake up to.

They are also accepting personal stories, so if you want to submit your story  I encourage you to get in touch with them.

Well, that’s it for me today. I’ve got a small amount of work to do and then I am signing off to go binge-watch Star Trek with my family!

    1. Aww, thanks! I actually worked in this submission for a few days. Maybe I should make that a habit.

Normally I just sit down, write and submit. 🤪

  1. I feel your pain with the cold since I’m also a Wisconsinite and it has been brutally cold. I enjoy reading your blog and getting to know someone I seem to have a bit of misfortune in common with. I don’t look at it as bad though, it has made me stronger even though at times makes me feel weak.
