A poem I wrote in September of 2017 when I first began my healing journey. This poem is about reflection, resilience, and self-discovery. I hope you enjoy it.
So young;
shy;
quiet;
her voice often lost on the wind.
Reserved;
withdrawn;
lonely;
her feelings often ignored.
Broken;
imperfect;
defeated;
her sense of self only an essence of what she could have been.
Now,
like a blooming flower,
with the sunlight touching her soul;
she will come back to life and
recovery will begin.
Strength,
resilience,
survival.
She is able.
She is mighty.
She will discover,
grow,
reflect,
feel,
And finally,
she will heal.
